Quick Scoping to Return in Modern Warfare 3

One of the things quite some people disliked about Black Ops, was the removal of proper quick scoping. After many complaints from the “quick scoping community”, Treyarch decided to alter the way sniper rifles work and by doing this the quick scoping returned. Though you can quick scope in Black Ops, it is and never was the same as in the previous titles in which you could properly quick scope.

Modern Warfare 3 on November 8th

Rumors of Modern Warfare 3 have been percolating for weeksand today, they apparently finally boiled over. A report on Kotaku pegs the game as being released on Tuesday, November 8, for undisclosed platforms, though the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 are likely suspects.
According to the gaming blog, the game will begin shortly after Modern Warfare 2 ended, following...

Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer

Packed with 15 levels set in locations around the world, from Manhattan to the catacombs of Paris, Modern Warfare 3's near-future campaign looks to be an experience that will top anything seen before in a Call of Duty game. Said Brian Crecente.
Multiplayer, too, seems to be shaping up to be an experience packed with new maps, experiences and ways to game.

Modern Warfare 3 History Mode

We've been gentle so far in our revealing of what we know about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. We've tip-toed through the minefield of spoilers, and tried to reveal only facts anyone would want to know. That ends here. Said Brian Crecente
What follows is a detailed summary of what we understand are the events of Modern Warfare 3 described to us by those in possession of dozens of images from the game, as well as voice over recordings. While we haven't seen the game in action ourselves, we believe that the imagery and this plot description is accurate. That doesn't mean things can't change before release. Levels could be altered or completely cut before the game gets into your hands.

Making of...

Here are two videos of the making of the cinematics from Modern Warfare 3:

Modern Warfare 3 Co-Developed by 3 different companies

According to the LA Times report, the two studios are 'equally sharing' development on the game's single-player campaign, which is expected to be ready for a November release.

This comes after turmoil at Infinity Ward surrounding the shock sacking of its bosses Jason West and Vince Zampella that left a question mark over the studio's capacity to take on the monumental task of developing the next Call of Duty.

Meanwhile, the report claims that Activision has called on further support from a third studio, Raven Software, to work on the online multiplayer portion of the game.

Involving Sledgehammer in development of MW3 has reportedly forced Activision to put the studio's other major project, a Call of Duty spin-off started before the upheaval at Infinity Ward, on hold.
