Modern Warfare 3 "Innovates On Co-op Genre"

Infinity Ward's community manager, Robert Bowling, explains how Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is innovating the co-op genre...
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had many standout features, but its selection of co-op missions gave the explosive action a new twist. Spec Ops has evolved in Modern Warfare 3 to offer players some never before seen gameplay.
"Spec Ops mode definitely innovates on the co-op genre,” explains Infinity Ward’s community manager, Robert Bowling. “I mean, not only are you playing together as a team, but you have all these features of multiplayer and you're fighting against AI. The replayability is insane, especially in Survival mode, it never stops going until you die."
Survival mode ups the ante to considerably; literally until you can’t take any more and from Bowling’s comments, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the number of players increased to include four player co-op instead of two. How Infinity Ward plays with this dynamic is probably where the innovation will come into play.
